We were rushed by ambulance to Yorkhill and after a fraught 2weeks and a period in PICU I’m pleased report that he’s doing amazingly well! Over the last year we (myself, Andy and Jennifer) have raised almost £5000 for the Meningitis Trust (Meningitis UK and Meningitis Trust have now merged to become one charity called Meningitis Now) and it’s only from the support of our friends and family that we were able to do that. Mark is coming up for 2 this May and this also signals my return to work. We thought it would be lovely idea to hold a Toddle Waddle as a fun event but also to raise a wee bit extra money! Hopefully, weather permitting, it will be a lovely wee morning where we can all get together and waddle round Lennox Park! The support we have had has been extraordinary, not just the donations but in asking after him, chatting to us at toddler groups and nursery all the “likes” and comments left on my facebook page when we share photos and good news! Most recently that we don’t have to see any more doctors for another year! Yay! We are so unbelievably proud of him and continue to be thankful every day that we, unlike many families affected by this awful disease, are facing a bright (and at times mischievous…and cheeky) future. Please come along and have a fun little waddle round the park! xxxx
